In this book, the author describes his brought up and family background. He lives in a small town in Ohio. This book describes the poverty of a family, low paying and the life and the life when he leaves this area. The ancestors of the author were from Breathitt County, Kentucky but he was raised in the Middle town of Ohio. In this book, the readers can get a good glimpse of the author family towards the loyalty of their country despite poverty and social issues. In this book, the author tries to describe his grandparent’s alcoholism and abuse the addiction of his mother towards drugs and also explains her failed relationships. The author struggled hard and at last enable himself to attend Ohio State University and Yale Law School.
