In Cold Blood is a very famous non-fictional novel written by American writer Truman Capote and was published in 1966. The story of the novel revolves around the murder of four members of the Herbert Clutter family living in the small farming community of Holcomb, Kansas. Capote learned of the Quadruple murder before the arrest of the killers and then he travelled to Kansas to write about the crime scene. Capote was joined by his childhood friend Harper Lee and then they interviewed the residents and officers involved in the investigation of the murder and created a thousand pages of notes.
