Review of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight:
The story of the novel describes how Sir Gawain, a mighty knight of King Arthur’s Round Table got a challenge form mysterious “Green Knight”. The Green Knight dares any of knight to strike him with his axe if he can return blow within a year and a day. Gawain accepts his challenge and beheads him with his blow on which the Green knight stands up, strangely picked up his head and told Gawain about the time. In this quest Gawain demonstrates Loyalty and Chivalry until he has been called to a test by Lady Bertilak. Sir Gawain and the Green Knight survives in only manuscript, Cotton Nero including three religious narrative poems: patience, purity and pearl. All of these are written by the same author.
