The House with a Clock Review:
The story of the novel is very interesting where an orphan Lewis Barnavelt goes to the town of New Zebedee, Michigan in order to live with his Uncle Jonathan Barnavelt. Jonathan was a mediocre, well-intentioned warlock. In their neighbourhood, there lives a strong and powerful witch. His uncle house was previously owned by a couple who had dedicated their lives to black magic and we’re trying to bring an end to world order. Before their death, they have constructed a big clock in their house which ticks in a way to pull the entire world into magical alignment by which they can destroy it.
