Persepolis 2 is the second part of the same story of the same writer. In the previous part, we see how the Islamic revolution effect Iran this revolution. Is positive for some people and negative for liberals. Basically, every religion has a bunch of some people who believe in a liberal mindset. And this mentally affects overall society because if some government like Muslim, Christian, Hindu or any other religious government try to impose their laws on citizens according to religious guidelines then liberals are the only group who act against that government and don’t follow any religious laws.
This is the same situation in Iran but the majority of people want an Islamic revolution that’s why the government has more power and finally they are in power and the Shah of Iran who was pro-liberal left Iran and some of his followers face very dangerous punishments from new Islamic government. Marjan Satrapi the author of this book experience this revolution and she write each and everything positive and negative impact of this revolution when she was 8 years old this revolution starts controlling areas in Iran.
