Yellow life is the story of Pheby brown she was born in a lower-class family in Virginia. The tradition of that village is every girl is a slave until she turns out 18. Pheby’s family also promised her to give them freedom at the age of 18. Pheby starts dreaming about her life after freedom and in this scenario she fallen love with someone and she decides to marry him after her 18th birthday. But a nightmare comes Pheby is totally unaware of this.
The day before his 18th birthday she transfers into one of the most horrible jails in Virginia. In this jail girls, toucher by staff and they sell these girls also on daily basis. A new and horrible life of Pheby begins now she has only one vision and dream and that is to get freedom from this jail and also from this culture of slavery.
