Review of Romeo and Juliet:
Romeo and Juliet are from tradition of tragic romances presenting antiquity. The tale of the story is inspired from Italian tale translated into verse as The Tragical History of Romeus and Juliet written by Arthur Brooke in the year 1562, it was retold in prose by William Painter in Palace of Pleasure in the year 1567. Shakespeare borrowed the work from both but expanded the plot with various supporting characters, particularly Paris and Mercutio. Romeo and Juliet is written between 1591 and 1595 and was published in quarto in the year 1597. The first quarto was in the poor text but it was corrected in new editions which were close to the original text from Shakespeare.
