The 6-year old French girl is blind and lives with her widow father. She goes with her father to her work place every day and there, her father uses different techniques to train her in the sense of touch. He uses events like her birthday to capitalize the most on the opportunity and develop her sense of touch. On the other hand, the German boy is an orphan who works in the coal mines and is destined to meet this beautiful girl.
